Creamy Hot Chocolate Recipe

8:00:00 AM

Hey guys and happy Friday! I hope you've all had an amazing week and got everything you planned done. Have you started getting excited for Christmas yet? I know I have, I've been blasting Xmas music all the time! Today I am coming to you with another recipe and this time it is a hot chocolate one! I am a huge lover of hot chocolates and I wish it were socially acceptable to drink them all year round. I just love everything about them and whenever I drink them I feel so warm and cozy inside! So here's how to make a delicious hot chocolate and once you've finished it you can get cozy on the sofa and enjoy a movie or your favorite TV show!

Ingredients (4 servings)

3 tablespoons cocoa powder, plus more for serving
3 cups whole milk
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
Lightly sweetened whipped cream (for serving)

Preparation

Bring ¾ cup water to a simmer in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk in 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder until no lumps remain, then add milk and return to a simmer. Whisk in chocolate and sugar and cook, whisking frequently, until mixture is smooth and creamy and chocolate is melted, about 5 minutes.

Divide hot chocolate among mugs. Top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder. You can add marshmallows on top as well, to make it extra yummy!

And that's it! It doesn't take that long at all and it is so delicious! Let me know what is your favorite way of making hot chocolate and what is your favorite mug to drink it in? Also, get excited for lots of Christmas posts coming up, because I am really looking forward to them! Until next time!

Love, M xx
