Summer Room Decor Ideas

2:54:00 PM

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a lovely day! I know summer is already in full swing and you have probably decorated your rooms according to it, but in case you haven't ( I only redecorated it a couple of days ago), here are some ideas on how to spice it up and make it a little bit more summery. There's nothing better than walking into your room and feeling like you are sitting on the beach or on holiday and you can do that by only adding a few of the little details!

Add a pop of colour

Nothing says summer more than bright and fun colours! Fill your room with brightly colored blankets, throws and pillows and everything will look even prettier. Going shopping for fun room decor is my favorite thing to do whenever summer rolls around :)

Pillows make everything look amazing!

As I've said, pillows are the best way to add summer into your bedroom. Visit your favorite home decor store and pick out some colorful ones with summer details on them. And if you have trouble finding them or you don't like the ones that are available, you can always DIY them yourself. Pinterest is the best place to be to look ideas for that!

Rugs, rugs, rugs!

This may sound like a silly idea, just buying a rug for a specific time of the year, but if you can find some cheaper one, I suggest you do that, because it will make your room look even more beautiful. Just look how gorgeous this one is:

Reorganize your closet

Sometimes that can be the hardest thing in the world, at least for me, because I like to thing of my wardrobe as an '' organized mess '', although it's more of a mess than it is organized! The fun way to do this would be to find a separate closet hanger to put all of your jackets and long dresses on. That way they won't get wrinkly and you'll have it easier to find them. Also, you can decorate it with some fairy lights as they make everything look prettier!

Spice up your wall!

Plain walls are just boring, so we have to make them look a bit cuter! I like to do that by hanging photos on a string and then placing it on the wall or you could put a nice summery wallpaper or a bigger photo on it and it will instantly look stunning!

Preserve your memories

This is a really cute idea which I have seen on pinterest. You can buy these coppery frame hanger at Urban Outfiters and just place all your best memories on it. That is such a lovely thing to keep in your room all year round and to always remember the great times you had.

DIY!

When you are bored or have nothing better to do, just try out some DIYS! It doesn't have to be anything special and you cannot be an expert at first try, but you'll surely have so much fun doing it. Look up some on pinterest or even youtube and you'll be  set to go. The ones I found the cutest are this ice cream garland and this adorable wreath made of summer ice cream umbrellas :)

These were a couple of my ideas for redecorating, I hope you have found them helpful. What do you like to do to make your room look cuter? Love, M xx

  8. I agree with decorating your walls! I tear out photos I like from magazines, and stick them on the wall above my desk for inspiration. I also have framed prints, quotes etc. It is so easy to change up things like that as well, when you change your mind! x
