It's essentials time! As you can tell by the title, for today's post I decided to share with you my essential pieces for the fall season. Some of these I have bought recently, and some are my older trust-worthy pieces which I wear every year once fall rolls around. Let's get started!
My first and ultimate staple is this black leather jacket which I bought from OVS a couple of years ago. Ever since I bought it, it has become my favorite fashion piece and I look forward to wearing it all year round. It wasn't too expensive and it goes perfectly with any outfit and always makes me look a bit more edgy. My favorite way to pair it is with a flannel shirt and some jeans.
Next essential are my old Dr Martens! They are a bit worn out, but I love them to pieces. They are my go to shoes all fall and winter season and I sometimes even wear them in spring, if it is a bit chilly out. These ones do not have ties on them, which I find quite cool, because I just slip them on and I am ready to go.
Everyone loves a pretty and cozy scarf! I bought this one last year and it has become another big favorite of mine. This one is perfect to wrap around the neck and bundle up in, because it is quite large. When you spread it out, it can almost work as a blanket haha. It is so autumnal and I absolutely love the colors.
When I came across this hoodie on my most recent shopping trip, I just had to get it. It is from Pull and Bear and it has Made in the 90s printed on it and I thought that was too cute not to buy. Also I love the color and I think it will go perfect with my leather jacket, so I can't wait to wear it all throughout fall!
Another must have for fall for me is a good book! I chose to reread Looking for Alaska by John Green because it is one of my ultimate favorite books and when I read it for the first time I was blown away. John Green is an incredible writer anyway, and this one and The Fault in our stars are my favorite of his. If you loved The Fault In Our Stars, then you should definitely check this one out.
Movies! If you've read my All About Movies blog post, you know how passionate I am about movies and how much I love to watch them. Fall time is literally made for movie nights, so movies have to be an essential. I picked out these three to show you: The Notebook, The Book Thief and Theory of Everything. I don't really think I should be telling you something about the notebook, because you've all probably seen it and can quote it word for word, but just in case you haven't, then now you have to. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams and the Nicholas Sparks story, what more could you want? The Book Thief is based on a beautiful, heartfelt book and it is based around the story of a little girl during World War II. It is so wonderful and heart-breaking, you will definitely be needing tissues. And Theory of Everything is another tear-jerker, because it tells an incredible story of the amazing man Steven Hawking. Let me know if you've seen any of these ones and what you thought of them.
And those are all of my fall essentials that I wanted to share in this post. What is your one essential for this fall season and let me know if you've read Looking for Alaska or seen any of these movies I recommended. Love, M xx
