Favorite Summer Reads
4:02:00 PM '' A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies,
a man who never reads lives only one. ''
Hello everyone, in today's post I've decided to share with you some of my favorite summer reads and some of my favorite books of all time. I have always loved reading and it is one of my biggest passions. Reading always calms me whenever I feel stressed out, because it simply transports me into another world and lets me forget about my worries. As we lose ourselves into the words of the book, we find ourselves too and we learn many new things and experience everything through the lives of the characters. So, here are a few of my favorite books and recommendations for lazy summer reads by the beach. I will not be giving any spoilers, so don't worry, you will still be able to enjoy the book if you buy it yourself.
- Number one definitely has to be '' Girl Online '' by the one and only Zoe Sugg aka Zoella. I read this book in one sitting, and that is saying something as it's quite a hefty book. It is about a sixteen-year-old girl called Penny which has an anonymous blog called Girl Online. Penny suffers with anxiety and it is also one of the aspects of the book I really like because not many books deal with such issues. In short, when things go from bad to worse at school, Penny goes to New York with her family and there meets Noah aka Brooklyn Boy. But as well as Penny, Noah also holds a secret which may cause a divide between them. Also, it's set at Christmas time which is great for all of you Christmas lovers such as myself. It is a wonderful, cozy and feel-good book and amazing all time read and I would definitely say you try it out, even if you are not a book lover.
Another one of my absolute favorites which I am sure you have all heard of and loved is '' The Fault In Our Stars '' by the amazing John Green. Such a sad, heart-breaking book which will not leave you dry-eyed. It is about a girl called Hazel Grace who suffers with cancer and a boy Augustus Waters who is a cancer survivor. Their love will break you heart, but also make you feel warm inside while you read about two teenagers suffering from a terminal disease, but still love with all their hearts. The book is filled with beautiful quotes and a few of my favorites are: " The world is not a wish-granting factory '' and '' Some infinities are bigger than other infinities ''. I would a hundred percent recommend this book to you, but prepare tissues!
